Nenagh Celtic hosted Portumna for Norah Kennedy Cup Semi Final

Game was a well fought out match with Celtic getting their first on 23 mins. Garry Curran struck a firm ball fron outside the centre circle to get his first for Portumna.Celtic scored from a header on 30 mins and Dave Fogarty got equaliser two minutes later from a free kick.
Gary Hogan scored from his first touch in Second half from a Garry Curran Dave Fogarty Mike Starr combination. Celtic scored with another header on 55 mins and again from a header on 75 mins. Garry Curran Scored his second on 77 mins when Simon Curran who drove an accurate ball to him from the defence. Extra time could not settle it so Penalties were the decider. Celtic made a change at goalkeeper with less than a minute to go and it proved decisive as he made three saves with John O’Meara who had an excelent game in goals for Portumna saving two. Garry Curran scored his penalty for Portumna. It ended 2-1 for Celtic on penalties to go on to the final. Well done to all the Portumna squad for a great year of work and promotion to First Division.
